Common Good Farm is in our 30th season of growing good food (& plants) through good farming in Lancaster County, Nebraska! We’re a mom & pop farm...food is grown from seed to harvest by Ruth Chantry & Evrett Lunquist.  Our farm is located 1.5 miles north of Raymond, Nebraska, just NW of Lincoln, Nebraska. Farming in Southeast Nebraska since 1996, we are a certified organic & certified Biodynamic®/Demeter farm. In some ways, the certifications are just a reflection of our striving to grow the highest quality produce, eggs & meat through soil vitality, regenerative & conscientious farming practices. We use Biodynamic & organic seeds as available, focus on open-pollinated & heirloom varieties & limit our use of hybrids.

With Biodynamics, farming is about creating a whole farm as a vibrant entity through the farmers’ impulses. Biodynamics & sustainable farming are exciting & creative endeavors...directed but not prescriptive. As land stewards & through our farming, we preserve & create wildlife habitats, enliven plant & animal communities, while creating a livelihood on our diversified family farm, growing the most delicious, nutritious foods we can...truly good food grown well!

After nearly two decades of traditional CSA & farmers markets, we shifted to on-farm sales and wholesale focus in 2020. In 2026, we will announce pop-ups and other on-farm options through our email list. ANYONE can purchase from us...but without a year round or seasonal on-farm store, you have to pay attention a bit to how to go about it!

Eggs are available year-round at the farm & at Open Harvest, Natural Grocers and The Mercato (N. 84th St.) -- all in Lincoln. Open Harvest also carries our produce seasonally & our organic veg, herb & flowers plants in the spring. Meats are  butchered throughout the year...reach out to find out more!

OUR FARM GOODS ARE AVAILABLE BY ARRANGEMENT at the farm, or in select shops in Lincoln. Please contact us for specific availability or if you would like to order something for on-farm pick-up. Opportunities for veg purchases such as our Grab & Go Farmer's Choice bags and u-pick options are shared generally through our email list and Facebook posts. Best way to get up-to-date info is through our direct email list.

CURRENTLY IN OUR MEAT FREEZERS -- We have pastured pork fat (unrendered), and various pork cuts as well as grass-fed beef tallow (unrendered) -- available for sale! Email us to place an order for on-farm pick up. (9/26)

PASTURED PORK -- Currently have some in the freezer -- select cuts available.  Next butchering round is December 2026. Reach out for a pre-order form.

100% GRASS-FED/GRAZED BEEF -- SOLD OUT for our October 2026 ordering cycle. On-farm we do currently have unrendered tallow available. Contact us to get on our email list for future ordering. 

2027 MEAT ORDERING CYCLES -- Dates are reserved for processing...order forms will be sent out in Autum 2026 for early Spring 2027 beef and onward for other beef processing options as well as early - mid Summer 2027 pork. Email to get order forms or join our email list. 

CERTIFIED ORGANIC PASTURED EGGS -- Find our pastured, certified organic eggs year round at Open Harvest in Lincoln, at Natural Grocers in Lincoln and on farm by arrangement. Also available at The Mercato (N. 84th St store) in Lincoln. Our eggs received a Gold Star Exemplary rating in The Cornucopia Institute's Organic Egg Scorecard...read more here! . Please find them at the shops we have them stocked at -- we deliver multiple times weekly. The prices at shops vary. 

ON-LINE PAYMENT & DONATION OPTIONS! We're old-school with payments, but we do accept credit card payments for plant sale or veg payments -- on-line payment options are in a drop-down under the farm offerings tab. We do accept additional contributions to allow us to be even more generous with our donations of plants, or produce in season to FoodNet or other organizations serving needs in the area.
