                    farm offerings

Common Good Farm grows certified organic & certified Biodynamic goods. Choices abound from our sweet place for you to be able to enjoy our farm goods, events & more.

                    Produce:
through the CSA, farm gate sales, or purchase at Old Cheney Road Farmers Market. We also sell wholesale & to restaurants. Depending on availability, u-pick is available for some items, such as tomatoes. Contact us if you are interested...usually available for items such as hot peppers & tomatoes.

CSA = community supported agriculture & is a dynamic farm movement over twenty years old, summed up as “share the bounty, share the risk.” CSA engages farmer & consumer in a relationship in which consumer members pledge annually to pay a share of the farm’s economic needs & in return receive a share of the produce in weekly harvests, as well as other farm-specific benefits. Early pledges & payments provide funds for expenses incurred before harvesting begins & throughout season. Through the CSA we offer a summer harvest share & a fall harvest box. Members support the farm with a share of the budget & receive a share of the season’s harvest as a weekly harvest box, picked-up from a delivery site or on-farm. Included in each harvest is a delightful newsletter sharing farm news, recipes & produce information. Summer season shares average 10 - 12 pounds/week over the season, which will runs from about late May – early August. We aim for 11 weeks of delivery. The Fall Harvest Box is a single harvest in early October, picked up on farm...slightly different than the summer share, we aim for a certain total weight & charge based on that (70# most years), & we select the harvest box goods based on field successes! As is the nature of farming, there are are variable beyond our control...we try & work with Mother Nature & based on our years of experience we can usually work with most tricks she sends our way. Read more about the summer harvest share & fall harvest box here.

                    Supporting Memberships
: Enjoy the weekly summer season newsletter by e-mail each week, as well as invitations to all our events throughout the year. A great way to experience the farm & extend your support to a local  organic farm/CSA even if you have your own bountiful garden. We suggest a $30 or more contribution. A few more details if you want to read up...

Farm gate sales: Call or e-mail (or catch us by chance) to pick a veggie order for you or if you would like eggs. We don't have set hours or a store at this time, but we do have eggs year round & produce & plants in season.

Meat: Pork & Beef available by pre-order each fall. Delicious grass based meat...leaner, grown without any antibiotics or hormones. Beef is only fed grass & hay in the winter. Our hogs are fed an organic ration we make our selves, with grains procured from other organic Nebraska farmers. The hogs also receive no antibiotics or hormones & enjoy a life of produce field scraps, cracked eggs & glorious bindweed in our fields! Read more about it...it's too good to miss!

Eggs: our gorgeous eggs come from happy hens that are on pasture -- eating bugs, grass, weeds & organic feed! Once you try them you will be hooked!  Read more about our egg production.

Tours & workshops & events:  We host tours by request & have had a rainbow of visitors from Korean diplomats to pre-K groups.  Please contact us to arrange. We also host a wide range of events on the farm...meditation workshops, cooking, salve & lip balm making...if you have a special interest, let us know. Watch for up-to-date info on happenings!

Volunteering: We have field days for folks to join in & work together. Contact us if you are interested. CSA members are notified of these as part of the regular CSA newsletter...we try to include potluck times
monthly during the growing season. Young & old alike are welcome...we have a huge range of tasks from post-pounding, weeding, hoeing, chicken house cleaning (it's fun!), and even sowing oats!
