csa: fall harvest share
A single delivery fall harvest of mostly storage items is another share option: potatoes, winter squash, pumpkin, onions, sweet potatoes, garlic, leeks & a few other items are what we plant annually. This is separate from the 12 week Summer Share season; you can do one or both! Harvest pick up for the Fall Share is on-farm only!
Fall Harvest Shares are available for on-farm pick-up around the first weekend of October...more info closer to the time including specific harvest pick-up dates and times. Final cost will be determined based on field successes. We are aiming for 70 lbs of produce for $160. A $50 deposit reserves your Fall Share.
The Fall Share is a little different than the Summer Share CSA in that we will reduce the pledge price if total poundage is less than the pre-determined amount of pounds, but we do not guarantee specific quantities of any particular item. Produce is mostly storage items but also some of the green goods that may still be available late season, such as cabbage, kale or Napa cabbage. Shares generally are lean most heavily on winter squash, potatoes and sweet potatoes, with onions, garlic, leeks, celeriac, celery and other fall produce...it's a little different every year!
The Fall Share also includes a thorough newsletter that guides you through vegetable storage as well as recipes & ideas for cooking your veggies.
